Asphalt paving in Rathdrum
The best natural base rock in the county, and acreage driveways to match.
Rathdrum is the easiest ground in the county to build on and the easiest place to underestimate a job, because the distances are long. A driveway that would be straightforward in town becomes a real number when it is eight hundred feet from the county road to the shop.
We would rather give you that number honestly up front than discover it halfway through. If you are on acreage, tell us roughly how far it is from the road when you get in touch and we can be much more useful on the first call.
The ground here
Rathdrum sits on the deepest part of the glacial outwash that forms the Rathdrum Prairie, and the aquifer beneath it is why the ground is what it is: gravel and sand, tens of feet of it, draining almost immediately. For paving that is close to ideal — the native material is effectively base rock, and standing water is rarely the problem it is elsewhere in the county. What you get instead is a lot of acreage with very long approaches, where the cost question is length rather than difficulty.
Getting to you
Twenty to twenty-five minutes from Coeur d'Alene, straight out Highway 41. We try to batch Rathdrum work so acreage jobs are not carrying the drive on their own.
About 25 minutes from the middle of our service area.
